I encountered an AE process that felt document-heavy and rigid, with expectations to study extensively before any interview.

Pre-interview document review — I was sent several long documents to study deeply.
Interviews based on the documents — during the interview they looked for answers aligned closely to what was in the material.
Internal group review — weekly internal group meetings decided who advanced. Outcome: I didn’t progress—the takeaway is that success depended heavily on verbatim-aligned preparation.
