I experienced an Account Executive–adjacent recruiting path that felt only moderately structured on paper but ended up being unclear and—at least in my case—operationally frustrating.

Early round: campus / HR + young employees — I started with an on-campus interview format featuring easy behavioral and situational questions.
Panel/upper management + HR — A second round again leaned similar in style, with the expectation that I’d hear about the next stage within a week.
Field-day / day in the role — Another step involved a day in the field shadowing a sales representative to understand day-to-day work. Outcome: No offer; my takeaway was that communication and expectations weren’t reliable, even though the process itself included practical exposure.
