Ottawa, ONPosted Jun 2023 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I went through a tougher, three-phase screening where the later rounds asked for highly specific performance data, and it ultimately didn’t go in my favor.

Phase 1 (recruiter phone call) — I answered basic questions including salary expectations and my experience.
Phase 2 (HR video call) — I repeated many of the same questions; the interviewer emphasized that it would be challenging and pushed me to be very prepared.
Phase 3 (sales managers video call) — I was asked for detailed, hard numbers and specific examples; I struggled to provide the exact level of quantified evidence they wanted. Outcome: I didn’t get the job, and the takeaway was that I needed tighter, metric-based stories for the final step.
