G-Research Software Engineer interview experience

London, EnglandPosted Nov 2019 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I applied online with my CV and then heard nothing for about four weeks.

When I followed up myself, a recruiter told me my application had been lost because of website issues. At that point, there wasn’t much time left—the final assessment centre was supposed to happen in just four days.

I was offered the chance to proceed anyway, and I was told I’d be contacted if they decided to hold another assessment centre. The whole experience left me feeling genuinely discouraged and like I had to chase for every step. Since it didn’t feel handled properly from the beginning, the process left a bad taste, even though the option to continue existed.
