Front Frontend Engineer interview experience

Posted Jul 2021 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

My path began with a phone interview that covered React, JavaScript, CSS, and then moved into data structures and algorithms.

It felt like a blended screen where the frontend-specific topics came first, but they didn’t let me coast without also tackling core CS-style concepts.

After that, I completed an online coding assessment for a Front End SSWE role. I remember the follow-up being straightforward: the recruiter called to let me know there would be a next round. The overall timeline felt like a typical early-stage process—get through a tech screen, complete an assessment, and then wait for the recruiter’s update.
