Front Frontend Engineer interview experience

San Francisco, CAPosted Aug 2018 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

My interview process started with a recruiter screen, and then I moved into a small take-home project that was meant to be representative of Front’s product.

After I turned it in, I had a technical screen centered on reviewing that take-home—so the real focus was on understanding my approach and the reasoning behind what I implemented.

The onsite portion felt more social and team-oriented than I expected. I had a team lunch as part of it, and then multiple one-on-one conversations with different people on the team. It was the kind of day where I wasn’t just being evaluated on technical output, but also on how I interacted, talked through tradeoffs, and fit into the team’s day-to-day.
