Fortinet Software Engineer interview experience

There was a chunk of time where they asked general questions, and then a shorter actual coding segment that was framed similarly to a LeetCode-style array problem. Even though the underlying task sounded simple on paper, the explanation of the question itself was hard to follow, which threw off my rhythm.

After that, the live portions moved into systems and architecture territory rather than staying purely algorithmic. I had a technical recruiter screen first where we covered my background, goals, and how my experience aligned, and later I spoke with a manager in a virtual Teams meeting.
