Fortinet Software Engineer interview experience

What stood out was the direction of the questions—everything was centered on detailed network security.

There weren’t typical LeetCode or system-design questions. Even the interview language was adjusted after they learned I could speak Mandarin, and the interview was conducted in Mandarin.

I didn’t end up getting an offer. Still, the reflection was that the company’s focus was consistent and domain-specific, and that clarity about what they were testing made the experience feel efficient even though it didn’t end in a match for me.
