I started with a HackerRank test, followed by an interview.

The test was mostly about TCP/IP fundamentals and networking details like subnets, DHCP, DNS, and it even included some tasks that required writing test cases. Subnet mask questions were a major theme.

After that, I had an interview where the topic fit the same networking direction, and overall it felt like they expected me to have a strong grasp of basics.

I didn’t receive an offer. My reflection was that I should have refreshed the core networking concepts more thoroughly, because the round didn’t let anything slide on the fundamentals.
