My interview experience was quick and pleasant.

I spoke with the recruiter and the research director first, then I met in person with the research director, a research associate, and an analyst.

The main issue I had wasn’t the people—it was that I didn’t think I was given an accurate description of the role. It was presented like a research job, but what it sounded like it really required was a lot of project management and administration.

I didn’t get an offer. Looking back, the mismatch between what I was told and what the role actually sounded like made the process feel less transparent than I would’ve liked.
