I had a 15-minute phone interview with a technical recruiter.

The recruiter mostly asked logistical questions to understand fit and whether I would be a good match for the next stages.

There wasn’t a deep technical grilling in that call. Instead, the recruiter explained that they would notify the hiring manager if I moved forward, and that the later interviews would be more technical.

It was a simple early step that mainly set expectations and confirmed basic alignment. Even without an offer, it felt efficient and clearly routed toward the next round.
