I interviewed for a Software Engineer role with difficult depth and a long design/architecture focus over multiple rounds in late December.

Screening / intro — a thorough process that moved quickly into technical assessment.
Technical round (no coding) — an architectural discussion centred on Next.js decisions: trade-offs between rendering strategies, performance optimization, state management, and how modern features are used.

Outcome: No offer, and the takeaway was that they expect in-depth, trade-off-driven knowledge rather than just coding.
