Ford Motor Company Software Engineer interview experience

Got offer

Easy

Negative

The interview experience felt unprofessional and really misaligned with what I thought the process would be about.

The questions centered on treating the company as a stepping stone rather than focusing on my actual expertise or fit for the role.

It also came with a harsh reality check about compensation and expectations: the salary offer felt unrealistic, and overtime was framed as something that was effectively mandatory even while they suggested it was compensated.

I didn’t move forward with the offer, and the biggest reflection I had afterward was that the interview didn’t just fail to reassure me—it actively set off red flags about how the role would be run day to day.
