My process started with an HR-focused Zoom round where it was clear they cared more about how I handled scenarios than about technical skills.

The interviewer asked about situations tied to configuring their product for state governments, so most of the questions revolved around influencing people and convincing others.

The overall journey also included more structured stages. At one point there was a behavioral interview that probed my background to understand how my experience mapped to the role, then moved into a few technical questions at the end. It felt like a gatekeeping step: first they assessed fit and then they decided whether to pull me into the more technical part.

Even with the effort, I didn’t end up getting an offer
