I went through a tough, high-prep business-case style interview experience where fit and case both mattered, and the case wasn’t necessarily aligned to the exact work area.

Profile conversation + business case — started with a fit-oriented conversation, then moved into an intensive business case.
Case + fit across multiple tours — another similar path paired classic case work with strategy fit and ran across several interview rounds plus an HR step. Outcome: I didn’t move forward, and the takeaway was that thorough business-case preparation is non-negotiable.
