Everlaw Software Engineer interview experience

I was told to have pen and paper ready for solving problems, and the format leaned heavily on live problem work rather than tooling.

I was asked four technical questions, and each one came with follow-ups digging into details like properties of the approach, time and space complexity, and opportunities to optimize. The difficulty came from keeping multiple layers of reasoning straight, not just giving a correct answer. By the end, it felt like they were measuring how I’d refine solutions under pressure, and overall it was a hard experience that didn’t end in an offer.
