My first call was a phone screen that felt unusually direct: we jumped straight into the technical topic.

I got asked a mix of basic data structures and algorithm questions, plus some simple bit manipulation. The interviewer also made it easy to steer the conversation a bit since they said I could ask questions too.

The whole thing moved at a steady pace, and I felt like the difficulty was on the easier side compared to what I’d seen elsewhere. It never turned into a marathon and it stayed focused on fundamentals. I didn’t end up getting an offer, but the tone and structure of the call felt straightforward rather than confusing or chaotic.
