I went through two phone calls and then a Zoom call.

Most of the experience felt like them explaining things, almost as a way to see how badly I wanted the job. They weren’t asking me tons of questions; instead, I felt like they wanted me to drive the conversation.

I made sure I had questions ready, because the pattern was that they wouldn’t supply them for me. The call structure made it obvious they valued engagement and persistence.

I didn’t receive an offer, and the hardest part to digest was that the interview wasn’t very reciprocal—it was more about how I responded to their presentation and whether I could keep the conversation going.
