I started with a short phone call that wrapped up pretty quickly.

At the end, it sounded like they were asking whether I wanted to join the company, even though the role felt more client-facing than that call suggested, and I didn’t want to assume anything too early.

Before anything could move forward, they set up another call to continue the interview process. The main thing I remember was how brief the first step was and how quickly they pushed into the next conversation rather than spending lots of time on details at once.
