I went through a quick screening with an employee, and then I scheduled the assessment.

The assessment was the difficult part of the process for me—hard enough that it felt like the real gate before I could talk more seriously with anyone. After completing it, I ended up being offered the role, but I declined because another opportunity I liked more came through first.

Looking back, the process felt like it was built around passing that assessment, and once I did, the rest moved quickly toward an offer.
