After a campus visit, I got an email from a recruiter to schedule a phone screen.

The phone call itself led directly into an online assessment scheduled soon after, and the structure felt straightforward from a logistics standpoint.

I completed the online assessment but performed poorly, and I didn’t move forward. What stayed with me was that the process essentially ended right there, with no later technical or deeper rounds to show my thinking. The whole experience was pretty average in overall difficulty, but the outcome felt abrupt and mostly decided by that single assessment step.
