My process started with an initial conversation with the algorithm trading team that lasted under an hour.

It didn’t feel overly formal—more like a real intro to the work and what they cared about.

About that same window, I was given a take-home assignment focused on creating an algorithm trading strategy. Then I had to present the assignment face to face with the algorithm trading team. The full timeline took around two weeks from the beginning of the process to my presentation. I didn’t end up getting an offer, but the journey felt like it was very centered on showing how I think through a concrete strategy.
