Emerson Software Engineer interview experience

Negative

Manila, ManilaPosted May 2023 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I ran into a process that was technically straightforward but felt unprofessional on the HR/logistics side, which made the experience noticeably frustrating.

HR/coordination issues before the technical test — I had to ask for a workable setup and ended up using a broken laptop to share my screen for an algorithms-style technical test.
Rescheduled recruiter contact — After being reached out to via LinkedIn, the HR recruiter was late and I had to reschedule.
Break in responsiveness — When I requested another call time, I didn’t get a reply. Outcome: I didn’t receive an offer, and the key lesson was that even with good technical preparation, poor scheduling/communication can derail the process.
