Eightfold Backend Engineer interview experience

The first round was a basic conversation about my development experience, led by someone who asked straightforward questions about how I’d worked and what I’d built.

After those initial questions, we talked a lot more—he introduced what eightfold was doing, and the conversation shifted from purely my background to the company context.

Because the experience never reached an offer for me, I ended up in limbo rather than getting a clear resolution. The main thing I remember was how the early call balanced fundamentals about my experience with an overview of the company’s work.
