My first step was a phone interview that lasted about forty minutes, followed a few days later by an online IQ/behavior test.

After that came an on-site visit roughly a month later, and I met with multiple engineers and managers—two managers and two engineers. The questions covered C and Linux, and it even tied into satcom topics. One part stood out: they showed me some C programs and asked what was wrong with them, then I had a written C test. Even with that structured assessment, the HR part felt unreasonable to me, and the overall vibe was that the process was more about them doing me a favor than mutual evaluation.
