Portland, ORPosted Jul 2024 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I interviewed in Portland, and the process took about two weeks end to end.

It went through several stages: a basic screening interview, then a coding interview, then system design, and finally a conversation with the hiring manager.

The recruiter was excellent and stayed responsive with quick feedback throughout, which helped keep the process from feeling stressful. However, one of the interviewers seemed unprepared. They focused heavily on syntax rather than whether my logic was correct, which made the evaluation feel a bit off.

The other interviewers were knowledgeable and conducted thorough assessments, so it wasn’t a uniformly bad experience—just inconsistent.
