Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

My interview started off being described as technical, but it quickly turned into a session of rapid-fire questions and coding-adjacent problem solving.

The focus was mostly JavaScript concepts and how I’d apply them—things like what “this” refers to when calling functions, and how the “key” prop works in React.

The interviewer also asked about forwardRef and what it’s for, which helped confirm they were evaluating conceptual understanding rather than memorized syntax. The overall difficulty was marked as average, but it felt more like an interactive Q&A than a traditional algorithm round.
