I faced an especially negative cultural first impression during interviews and a writing-test style follow-up.

Two-manager phone interviews — I was interviewed by two managers; one interviewer came across as rude while the other interview was handled by someone else.
Face-to-face writing assessment — I later visited for an in-person test that took about 30 minutes to evaluate writing skills, tied to application screens. Outcome: I didn’t get an offer, and the takeaway is that interviewer behavior and communication quality heavily influenced how the process felt.
