Duolingo Software Engineer interview experience

Got offer

Medium

Positive

United StatesPosted Oct 2020 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I applied online and then received a Hackerrank challenge, followed by a technical interview over the phone.

The coding part felt like a normal screening, and the phone interview questions were more engaging than what I’d seen at other companies because they tied the discussion back to the business and the product. Communication with the recruiter was easy, and the whole process took less than a month. I walked away with a very positive feeling about the company even though the final result in my experience wasn’t an offer.
