DraftKings Software Engineer interview experience

RemotePosted Feb 2019 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I reached out to understand the interview process for a senior software engineer role, but I didn’t get enough detail from that interaction to fill in an actual timeline of rounds.

Separately, I had a conversation where I was told a phone interview would include a complex coding exercise applying a set of business rules to a data set. That framing made the screen sound more problem-driven and business-context heavy than just standard algorithm practice.

And I also had a situation where the discussion was tied to relocation logistics between countries, with the contract still in process. That meant I didn’t have the full picture of how far the interview loop had progressed or how the decision would land technically, since details were expected to come later.
