Sharon Springs, KSPosted Sep 2023 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I interviewed for an Account Executive role at Dollar General and the journey felt very easy, with managers eager to move fast and talk through training and scheduling.

In-person interview with management — I had a straightforward conversation in the office about my background and why I was looking.
Role overview & expectations — I was walked through what the job involved, including hours and the general structure of the work.
Training and onboarding plan — I heard how training would work and what I’d learn first; in one case I was told I’d learn the system and could be promoted quickly. Outcome: No offer; despite a smooth, manager-driven process, I didn’t land an offer from what I experienced.
