I was invited for an interview even though I didn’t have sustainability-relevant experience.

That surprised me because the role didn’t feel like a natural match, and it didn’t end up feeling like a great use of my time.

The process itself was simple: just one virtual interview. Afterward, I waited for any follow-up and ultimately got a rejection email about a week later. It was the kind of experience that left me less impressed, mostly because it felt like there wasn’t much flexibility around the mismatch in fit.
