San Francisco, CAPosted Mar 2025 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I experienced a more classic DS&A-style Discord interview journey: recruiter/initial screens followed by a coding stage and then an onsite, with the technical bar feeling more knowledge-based than app-building.

Recruiter screen + technical screen — moved into a coding step after the initial conversation.
Technical interview — focused on data structures and algorithms; in one case I built approach and solved within the time limit, while in another the interviewer rushed through requirements and I had to slow them down.
Onsite — reached after passing the technical screen, typically as a virtual set of interviews. Outcome: I didn’t get an offer; the takeaway was that a clear DS&A approach mattered, but pacing and expectation-setting could swing the experience.
