My Discord experience stood out more for process concerns than for the technical work itself, and I decided not to pursue or trust the experience.

Initial recruiter/hiring touchpoint — I was engaged enough to interview, but the overall process and company messaging felt questionable, including claims about workload and compensation.
Unusual, sensitive interview dynamic — in another instance, I experienced an odd behavioral question about handling clashes with a manager and received a decision email sent to a workplace address. Outcome: I didn’t get an offer; the takeaway was that trust and professionalism in the process mattered to me as much as the technical steps.
