I went through two rounds—an initial HR conversation followed by a second round with the hiring manager.

The first step felt normal and focused on fit, and by the time I got to the manager interview, I was already invested in the process.

After that second round, though, I never heard back. There wasn’t even a basic follow-up or a clear rejection notice, just silence. After putting in the time for two interviews, the lack of communication made the whole thing feel disrespectful, even though the interviews themselves hadn’t seemed especially unusual.

I didn’t get the offer, and the biggest takeaway was how unprofessional the no-feedback gap felt at the end.
