Los Angeles, CAPosted Jan 2016 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

After a recruiter call, I moved through a more traditional sales-focused path.

It started with a long phone interview where I talked through my retail experience and also my design background, including examples of projects I’d worked on. A big theme was how I handled difficult clients and how I worked alongside other sales associates, and those questions were asked in a straightforward way.

Then I had a face-to-face interview where the conversation stayed firmly grounded in my past examples. Overall, the tone felt professional and intent on understanding how I’d operate in a store environment with real customers—less about abstract theory and more about day-to-day
