Costar Group Software Engineer interview experience

They had me talk about my resume, and the conversation quickly turned into them telling me how great the place was.

It didn’t include any real technical evaluation or structured questioning, and I ended up checking what I could find externally before deciding to step back. I decided not to move forward mostly for my own mental health. That means the “interview” didn’t become a challenging process—it just became a signal that it wasn’t the right fit for me emotionally.

The difficulty was easy, but the main outcome was that I chose not to continue rather than pursuing offers or deep rounds.
