I had a relatively more straightforward interview path where the core pattern was brief behavioral prompts paired with case questions, usually in smaller, well-supported sessions, and I was mostly evaluated on baseline analytical ability.

Phone / early screen — a single phone conversation split between quick resume/fit questions and a short case meant to gauge how I start solving.
First round (on campus or video) — two 30-minute conversations that mixed behavioral and case; the case questions were simplified and interviewers generally offered enough guidance to let me show my reasoning.
Second round (video or additional cases) — another set of mixed behavioral and case interviews (sometimes on video) that continued to focus on problem-solving and mental math rather than deep technical econometrics.
