Mountain View, CAPosted Mar 2026 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I started with a recruiter conversation where the biggest topic was how the recent IBM acquisition might affect hiring.

The recruiter was transparent, but it also left me with more uncertainty than clarity—especially about what this would mean for the day-to-day of the Inside Sales role I was interviewing for.

As I moved into later interviews, I kept pushing for specifics: how the role fit into the broader sales organization, what the KPIs would actually be, what the territory and internal alignment looked like, and how success would be measured. I also asked about what typically drives closed-won deals and the main reasons for churn, trying to understand the real sales motion and strategy behind the scenes.
