MelbournePosted Feb 2026 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I went through a fairly standard multi-round process for a Software Engineer role over roughly two months, with mostly average difficulty technical questions and some leadership/team-management themes.

HR screen — HR-led check focusing on fit, my background, and role expectations.
Panel/manager rounds — interviews that mixed project deep-dives and core CS fundamentals, with some managerial/team-management questions.
Online assessment / HireVue / video — a mix of coding/GA-style questions and recorded behavioral questions tied to company values and recent tech topics.
Final interviews / assessment centre — speed interviews with Engineering Managers, plus a written task (e.g., responding to a prompt) and often a group activity/pitching a solution.
