My process started with a pretty standard recruiter phone call, followed by a hiring-manager conversation in a panel-style format.

Overall it didn’t feel scary or adversarial; it was more like a normal chat where I walked through my background and what I was looking for. At entry level, the focus leaned toward soft skills and using STAR-style answers to talk through resume projects and past experiences.

The hiring manager seemed mainly interested in whether I’d be a good fit for the team. The people I spoke with were friendly and easy to talk to, and the whole thing felt calm. The only part that left a sour note was how the rejection was handled—it came through as an automated message rather than anything more human.
