I was told by a recruiter that I’d have two rounds.

The first was a simple design interview on a distributed rate limiter, and the interaction was awkward because the interviewer seemed inexperienced and struggled with clarification due to language barriers. The interviewer gave answers to my questions in a way that shifted mid-way, leaving the direction a bit unclear. After that first round, the recruiter suggested that if my second interview went perfectly there might be another round—but I decided to stop the process because the experience didn’t feel like it was suitable for a senior-level fit check.
