I kicked things off with a recruiter-style conversation where we went over my experience and the technologies I’d worked with, plus the specific tech stack I was applying for.

It felt straightforward and lightly exploratory—enough to understand where I’d actually used each piece, rather than testing trivia.

About a week later, I got a task to complete with a quick turnaround window (roughly 24 hours). It was a full-stack assignment, and the focus was on delivering a working solution end to end. I finished it successfully, which is what carried me forward and ultimately into an offer.
