I interviewed with an average difficulty overall, and it felt like they were checking whether my stated Java + Spring + related backend experience matched what they actually wanted.

The questions ended up including Angular, and that caught me off guard.

The interview covered my background, but when Angular questions came up, I realized I wasn’t prepared for that depth. The rest of the conversation stayed pretty normal in tone—nothing felt chaotic or overly harsh—but it was clear the scope had more front-end coverage than I’d expected.

I didn’t get an offer. Looking back, the biggest issue wasn’t the general backend concepts—it was that the Angular portion became a deciding gap for me.
