I joined the process late, and the interviewer actually apologized for the timing.

Even with that, I didn’t feel ready going in—my preparation was minimal—and I could tell as soon as the questions started coming.

When the questions stayed at a medium level, I still managed to blank out. I didn’t have a smooth flow of answers, and the discussion became more of a struggle than a showcase of my knowledge.

In the end, the experience didn’t lead to an offer, and the biggest reflection for me was that the interview exposed how thin my preparation was. It felt like I needed more confidence in the fundamentals to handle the moment-to-moment pressure.
