My first step was a phone interview with HR that was framed as screening.

The job description felt vague, and it led to a frustrating flow: instead of clearly walking me through what the role required and aligning on responsibilities, the interviewer asked what I wanted out of the job.

I could feel the interview going poorly because the conversation was one-sided. There wasn’t much explanation about the position up front, and I ended up having to guess what they might actually be looking for from me.

It didn’t work out, and the lack of clarity in the HR process was what stuck with me most. It felt like the conversation didn’t fully land on the role itself.
