Ciena Software Engineer interview experience

Got offer

Medium

Negative

BengaluruPosted Jun 2015 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

My loop started with a full day of testing and interviews.

It included a technical and aptitude test, then two separate technical interviews. They flew in as part of the hiring event, and the whole thing felt high-volume: they hired only a small fraction compared to the number of people interviewed.

The written portion took most of the day, and the onsite interviews followed after that. The interviewers and recruiters felt unprofessional to me, and the experience didn’t reflect the level of seriousness I expected. Even though the technical content was presumably the point, the process itself distracted from that.

I ultimately declined an offer
