My interviews followed a pretty clean progression across three rounds, and the people I met were genuinely nice.

The first round was with two analysts, then I moved into a second round with a panel made up of analysts and associates. For the final step, I interviewed with MDs.

The experience stayed smooth overall. I didn’t get the sense that it was trying to trip me up—more like they were evaluating how I think and how I’d fit with the team. I ended up not receiving an offer. Even though I didn’t make it to the finish line, I left with the impression that the process was respectful and the conversations were comfortable rather than hostile.
