I went into the process expecting one role, but during later discussions the actual position details shifted, which hurt the experience.

Technical interview — I had a discussion where the interviewer explained role responsibilities.
Project manager discussion — the project manager said the position was different than what was originally described.
Mismatch with job description — HR shared a job description for a different technology/domain (described as Salesforce Developer) and explained why I should change roles. Outcome: No offer/selection was reported, and the takeaway was that role misalignment late in the process undermined trust.
