Palo Alto, CAPosted Jan 2024 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I did an online assessment where I answered two video-recorded style questions correctly, finishing with plenty of time to spare and passing the test cases.

Even with that, I still got rejected afterward.

It felt especially strange because the scoring portion looked fine, and the rejection suggested there might be resume screening happening after the OA rather than a straight-through evaluation. I didn’t move forward to an offer.

What surprised me most was how quickly it ended despite doing well on the assessment—it left me with the feeling that the decision wasn’t purely based on the coding results.
